Football isn't about feelings. It's about toughness. so throw away sportsmanship and class? Have you EVER played sports man? Doing a little dance isn't lack of sportsmanship. It's having fun when you've achieved something. Class? So, according to you, Peyton Manning has no class and is unsportsman-like? Same for Hall of famers Joe Montana, Steve Young, Dan Marino and (future HoF) Brett Favre. Because, when they throw a TD pass, they point to the stands, throw their arms up in celebrations or some other form of celebration! Puh-leeze! There is a line that should be drawn...but don't take the fun out of the game. Do you remember the game before Peyton broke Dan Marino's TD record. Indy was winning and fairly close to the endzone (don't remember exact yardage...but I was watching the game.) He could have thrown a TD pass to get the record...but instead, because it was the end of the game...he kneeled it. We're talking about a monumental achievement...and he kneeled on the ball, potentially giving up a shot at breaking the record...for the sake of SPORTSMANSHIP and CLASS. He still celebrates his TD passes (and in his case, that's a lot of TD passes.) He also celebrated Edge's TD Runs. It's not a slap in the face to the defense...because when they get the chance to sack him or score...they celebrate too.
