Why don't you just get rid of all your good players.
Oh wait, you already did. My mistake.

Atleast wait until the end of the season before they get obliterated

Thanks, Wolves. If you'd just given us Trav for nothing, we would have had to play Sweetness or take the cap hit for releasing him. By taking him away from us, you saved us 1M. It's been a pleasure doing business with you.

why would you release them and take a cap hit, especially if you just released the second best player on your team and he was inactive.

Maybe because they're 2.5M over budget. What with trades and released players, they're carrying 16.5M in dead money on the books.

I guess, we might end up in the same boat because oshi gave out so many incentives.

I hate incentives. They're budget busters. When flledge and I wrote our contracts for season 2, we made our incentives largely redundant, so that even though a lot of people had incentives in their contracts, we'd only realistically be awarding them to one or two players. There can only be, for instance, one MVP in the whole league. For my season 3 contracts, I've almost completely abandoned them. I've still got a couple contracts with big incentives that were inherited as part of the expansion draft that cause me some budgeting problems... notably McKee's. He ended up earning a cool million in incentives last season, and will probably exceed that this time.
All I can do for those problematic contracts is evaluate them to see what performance incentives they might realistically reach, and reserve that amount in my budget. I have to be conservative and allow for a potential breakout season, or I could end up in real trouble. Whatever that amount totals, it becomes dead space in the budget until the end of the season.

The Wolves were in better shape when Baker wasn't a Co-GM.

You can't put all this on Baker. Kris signed off on all these moves.

You can't put all this on Baker. Kris signed off on all these moves. I'm not putting it all on Baker, but seriously you think Kris wanted to move the 2nd best RB in the league and then give Baker a bonus to be a rb? I blame the Garcia trade on Baker as that was the deal that put them over.

Oh, that deal was all Baker, indeed. I was joking when I told him to trade me Garcia. I never thought he'd actually do it.
However, before the deal was finalized, I contacted Kris, because I thought, "This deal is so ludicrous, there's no way Kris stands by it. I'd better make sure he knows about it before we announce it and he goes into a public fit."
So I asked him to get the details from Baker and sign off on it before we made any kind of announcement. His response: "Yeah, I love the trade idea."
