Kris Johnson has stepped down from the management of the Springfield Wolves. During discussions of various league policy violations regarding player updates and budgets, Kris cited that the job had turned out to be a lot less fun than he'd anticipated and wasn't giving the job his best effort, and volunteered to stand aside.
The competition committee has spent time interviewing a variety of candidates, and one candidate has stepped forward to embrace the job eagerly. Deron Lucas, formerly quarterback of the Falcons, will take the helm of the Wolves and attempt to steer them back on the path to success. Lucas was identified for his previous experience as a manager in the SHL, and the energy and passion he has shown throughout the process has been commendable.
Deron Lucas has traded himself to the Wolves, agreeing to take his entire salary plus bonuses (usually bonuses stay with the team that paid them), plus 2.5M to the Falcons. That brings the total cost of the transaction to the Wolves to 10M.
The Wolves have been granted a one-time exemption and have been allowed to drop QB Ryan Gilden free of salary cap charge due to the extreme nature of this situation. Gilden has also been offered a one-time option to rearrange his stats and pursue free agency from another position.
The Falcons have elected to take the 10M they've opened up in this deal to recruit a quarterback from free agency.
Please join me in welcoming QB Deron Lucas to the Springfield Wolves.

It sucks to see you leave, but it's for the best of the league. Best of luck to you Deron, I look forward to playing you.

It should also be noted that this change is effective week 6, since Lucas has already played in his game for week 5.

Yeah, I am sorry for the troubles I have done. It is much entertaining being a player than someone who gets advised on every move.

this is gonna be bad for us now..... Only in the short term. You've got 10M to spend on your free agent QB right away. Next season, after training camp, you'll be just fine. As history has shown, QB is the easiest position to turn into an impact player.
