Anyway, no offense or anything but I'm glad you're not coming to the Thunder again. Hard to rely on somebody so fickle. who's your starting TE again? Yeah, for sure. If you were trustworthy, I'd love to have your skills back at TE. But that's the problem. No offense or anything, but we screwed ourselves by trusting you.

So how long until playing LB "sux" and you decide to quit? how long until you go to the libary and make another player to fill your teams holes? The Thunder only have one small hole at TE. It should be easy to fill. Now why don't you answer the question? If I were the Dawgs, I would question your commitment to the LB position, seeing how it lacks the prestige you so desire.

I don't plan on doing it, I'm gonna try and make my team better but if I think I can take you and get a couple of decent players out of it then I can draft you and then trade you away. Then the Dawgs would be forced to go and buy a better LB.

I have offers at QB,HB and almoest every other posistion. if I wanted "prestiage" I'd have joined a team that wante me at those positsions.

I think we are in agreement on both points here: 1) we will suffer because it will be hard to replace you 2) we will suffer because we made the mistake of investing in you

I've got Cross, Trav, and Hernandez under contract, and I only need 3 LBs to field a team. I plan to move Hernandez to the secondary, but I can go another direction with that if absolutely necessary. And I've also expressed and received interest from linebackers in free agency. You might not find his trade value to be very high. You'd probably have to find another trading partner.

he seems to only want to play for the dawgs so he has no trade value what so ever if you didn't accept a trade which you more then likely wouldn't so it isn't worth drafting a player for trade that you know what play for you or anybody else.

Look, what should determine which teams wins? The decisions made by the GMs or their popularity? Right now, people can make players and then retire them if they don't like the team which selects them and then make a new player. Or am I wrong? People who don't like their current situation should not be able to kill their current players and immediately make new ones. They should have to wait a season. Having it be popularity based is a huge disadvantage for GMs like Mule who are hideously unattractive.

That's just part of the system. Last season we were the ugly girls at the free agent dance party... everyone we talked to took less money to play elsewhere.
The disincentive to retirement is that you lose all that progress on your player. You're starting over from scratch. And the more the league ages, the further behind that puts you.

Just because something is part of a system doesn't mean it should be kept when the system is broken (see below): The disincentive to retirement is that you lose all that progress on your player. You're starting over from scratch. And the more the league ages, the further behind that puts you. There is no disincentive to retire a brand-new player as in this current case.

Lewis did not retire a brand-new player. He retired a two year vet, the top-rated in overall at his position.

Oh, I didn't realize that was what you were getting at. Alex hadn't proposed anything like that... he was just promising to be annoying... how he could be more so is anyone's guess.
You're right. Nobody should be able to immediately retired their drafted player and create a new one. They should be forced to play out (or wait out) at least one season.

I thought we had a rule on that. Sure enough... 4) For unsigned draft choices, players will not receive a salary that season, and will be re-entered into the draft pool following season.
