Torry why didnt you accept my offer....Even though it was less it was guarenteed #1 spot and you could leave after 1 year and have better stats to get a #1 contract with a bigger team?

I told Torry he would not be declining to play for my team based on money, and I stood by that commitment. You can't buy a reputation. The Dawgs will take their huge pile of cash into the rookie draft. I wish you good luck with your new team.

Yep. It makes it very hard to improve your team. I had three free agents turn down better offers from me because they didn't think my team was a contender. If all three had signed, we would have been. It's a case of perception becoming reality.

thats why i think we should drop the salary cap. the surge have tons of money to spend, and if they have money to spend there gonna use it, and sign the best players. if they had less money, it would actually be a challenge to pick and choose and arrange contracts accordingly

The Surge have tons of money to spend, but I have tons more. The fact that I wasn't able to sign the players I wanted says the problem isn't money. If anything, the salary cap levels the playing field, because it gives a team like mine the opportunity to outbid the Surge for players.
People want to play for a winner. If I want those players, I have to win. It's that simple. Yet it also creates an interesting catch-22... because in order to win, I need the players.
