Mott did say Negro. But, it wasn't used in a deragatory manner. It was used in a way that was indicative of saying brother. Or friend. Homeboy...whatever.
The word negro (in and of itself) is not an offensive word. In fact, no words are actually offensive, unless we take them to be so. The term used (in this case) was not used with any negative connotations...so people shouldn't be jumping on Mott. If anyone was to be offended, it should have been the guy that the reference was made too. Since I have seen nothing from Mond to indicate that he was offended, I'm willing to sit by and let things be what they are.
As for any other term, I find wigger to be a bit of a misnomer. Then again, I think that the "N-Word" (that everyone seems so dreaded to use) is a term that applies more to personality than to race/creed/color. But, that's just how it was treated where I was from. Wigger was just a spinoff...and are more wannabe's than actual "thugz".
Personally, I think there are several members who have posted in this thread that have some severe maturity issues.
Overlord, don't let some internet punks ruin your experience here. Ignore them. I don't let them bring me down. I throw in my two-cents where I feel it's needed...and leave everything else alone. That's why you'll notice that my actual post count is so low. I refuse to post for the sake of posting or insulting any one particular comment/indivdual (without just cause.)
Wilber, lay off Mond. There is absolutely no reason for that crop. Same with AYL. You guys are acting like a bunch of 10 year olds. There's a thing called respect...maybe you've heard of it. It goes two-ways. Someone here (between you two and Mond) need to just step up and start respective everyone. If you're disrespected, instead of just mouthing off, why not ignore. Or if you are going to retaliate, do so in a MATURE manner. It's not that difficult.
