I'm just going to keep him this season and he just won't play. Your convincing of your friend to not accept my offer will just cause you to miss out on a season of having your friend on this site unless you can somehow keep him active while he isn't playing. |

You'll keep him around this season and then lose him for nothing anyway. I'm pretty sure the holdout rules were not intended for you to have the power to force a player to accept the world's worst contract. League-minimum deals are all well and good for inactive backups and minor-leaguers, but this looks like abuse of the system to me. I see no attempt at negotiating in good faith here.
