You need Madden. If you attempt to open the files in a text editor, you get unreadable garbage. If you attempt to edit it, you'll end up corrupting the database file.

The only hex editor I have handy is on my mainframe... and I doubt very many of you have one handy.

AHHHHHHHHHHH LIARS
YOU DONT NEED MADDEN YOU JUST NEED THE ROSTER FILES WOOOOOOOO
Not like the individual teams but a roster of all the teams......then use Madden Editor and you can update like 8000000000000000x easier*grin*

But if that has to be done against the entire roster file, rather than team files, it means we can't parse out the work so each person does a team. We'd have to share the whole roster file, and that can get problematic with multiple updaters.
For instance, let's say I download the file today so I can do Dawgs updates. But I don't get around to it until tomorrow evening. Since I last downloaded the file, you've updated the Surge. When I finish my update and upload the file, your changes are lost.

well if people are willing to use Madden Amp then we can get around the roster file problem by just having a separate roster file for each team. then the simmer will have to load that roster and export the team, but that is easy to do and probably worth it if it gets us more updaters. thanks for telling us about the editor ty.

Who plans on doing the Thunder vs. Panthers game. I don't want Mule to do it because he is involved unless he is the only one that even wants to do it.
