Indeed. Marino also possessed a keen sense of the pocket, and whenever someone would come in after him, he'd take a dinky little shuffle step, usually forward, and a defender flying in for a big hit would miss him completely. Are those things you will have over Lipton with the same attributes and being slower? No. There's only one Marino. However, I've seen Lipton take off running on plays where he really didn't have much pressure, and he really didn't get anywhere. It doesn't seem to do his team much good, and it leaves me wondering what he might have done on those plays had he been a bit more patient in the pocket instead. My player isn't going anywhere, so he stands in on those plays and scans the field.

Is he like one of those players that has 99 speed but has 20 accel so he actually not that fast?

He has had a couple of big plays on the ground, looking through the stats, but I still have to wonder how many more yards he'd have gotten if he turned those rushing attempts into passing attempts.
