Yeah, we need to stop complaining about the simmers and just be active.
BTW, why did all of the "popular" member leave? Just because they wanted this league to die? Pricks...

lol...these leagues are usless without simmers or other means of keeping people active. This league is almost completely reliant on Simmers...they're not working...so the league isn't either. Very sad.

Games have been getting simmed, but still nobody talks. Sim threads now take 4 pages or less, where they used to go on for 10.

Maybe announce when a game is going to actually start (a day in advance if possible) to avoid this.

This is one of the issues people are running into...it seems like everybody wants to start their own league. I'm in three...and having to back off of responsibilities in one of them (don't have any in another...and this league appears to be dying) There are too many leagues out there. If we could all just decide to have no more than 2 per sport, you might be able to draw some serious interest...but other than that...not likely to happen.
The FSL, SFL and FSJ are the three I'm in. The FSL and SFL seem to be slowing down (though this one is nearly dead)...and the FSJ appears to be going pretty strong. If this one dies, I'll not join another league. If the other two die, I might consider joining another league...but never again more than 2.

If possible, I'll do a game tomorrow night (I've got no clue what my schedule is like).

I thought that the NXFL was but then bashum moved boards and it just flat out died. this was my first sim league i joined and it sucks to haveto say it but this league is on its last couple breaths. this league was awesome when i first joined and i hoped that it would survive till this summer so activity would jump again with ppl being out of school and all but it doesnt look like it will make it there. the SFL has been slow lately in terms of ppl posting but alot of the time there are 6+ ppl on. so we dont lack too much activity but with noone posting it looks like its dieing. but things are starting to turn around over there and we hope that we will b able to be as strong as this league once was. as for the FSJ, its probly one of the most active leagues around right now and we continue to get stronger every day thanks to test.

Too lazy to log in, so I'll just post as a guest. hahaha MSFL Sucks balls only fsj and FSL only good leagues lmao, if you think the MSFL sucks balls, then you seriously have no idea what makes a good league. I haven't checked out FSJ yet, but from what seems to be going on here lately, I'd say the MSFL is quite a lot better than this league at this point (btw, the MSFL is already running strong halfway in its second season). If it seems that I'm trying to advertise for the MSFL, I'm not.. but I just had to respond to the biased opinion by bcfootballgod. Anyways, unless things start to get done here quick, people will come in here and see a lack of posts for them to get involved in and tune out of the FSL.

I know I am new to the game and I am sure that I don't understand a great deal, but we all went through and activity check and now I see that one game has been simmed in the last two weeks. I have to say I am starting to get bored with this web site. I check everyday religiously and nothing has happened. Not even a new post most of the time. Has everybody gotten board or are the simmers busy? If they are busy post it somewhere so I don't have to keep checking. Maybe we need more simmers. I realize this is coming from somebody who does very little, just keeps some stats, so I don't have a any real say. I am just making more of a frustrated observation. Thanks Mark

Although I was never one of the more active posters, I am sad to see this league slow down. What I think happened was that it got too big too fast. I know at FSJ, I have my hands full with 6 teams and 3 games per week. DaBears isn't able to spend the kind of time I can online, so he must rely on others to keep things moving. When those people arnt able to keep up, unfortunately this is what happens.
What I think needs to happen is a number of things. First, I would seriously consider a restructure to the boards here. There's far too many IMO. Sub-boards are a good thing. I wish I could make sub-sub boards. A lot of the board here could be condensed and the site itself would be easier to navigate.
Second, I think the minor leagues need to be dropped. They might work here, they might not. I don't even know. But it's just additional work for people who apparently don't have the time.
Third and maybe most importantly, the games need to be scheduled ahead and simmed live. Having a games PBP posted in 15 minutes isn't very exciting and doesn't hold the attention of the members. I know all the games arnt done like that, but I believe some are. If nothing else, when you sit here watching a game for 2 hours a day, you feel like you spent some time here. When you read through a thread in 15 minutes, you then have to go looking for something to post. Ya know what I mean?
If I can be of any service here, let me know and I'll see what I can do. I rather not see this league dissolve.

I agree with TesT. His site is going strong because of the set up he has. There is an actual schedule that is met. Here it just seems like it's when ever someone can get around to it. That's great when everyone is here...but unfortunately...that seems to happen less and less.

I'm still holding out hope that we can get this league going again. i understand that simming games can be a time consuming process and everything, but we need to try to get something done to keep it going. Apparently we only have 2 simmers left due to everyone wanting to branch out on their own. What I don't get is why they don't come back when (or if ) their leagues fail. Is it due to the embarrasment they face or what? Simmers... do the best you can with what you have to work with but as someone mentioned earlier, check your schedules and post a headsup for the rest of us so we'll know when they're going to be done and maybe we can drum up interest and get some people back during game time at least. If you simin the middle of the night, you can't expect to have a high turnout and I've noticed that there were several games done at 1, 2 or 3 in the morning.
Let's keep this place alive
