OK...to stop all this PBP arguments.

First things first...MULE, I do NOT believe that you have cheated. If you have cheated...then so has every other simmer.


Lets see...where was I...oh yeah.

Video. What if I sim three games and do videos on all three. I see the one I like (the blowout)...from there, I can do a PBP, just by watching the video. I wait for a day or so after the video to actually produce the PBP. WHO will know the difference?

Any simmer CAN cheat...but the reason why these individuals is allowed to be a simmer is because they are TRUSTED by the staff of the FSL. If you don't accept that trust, then you needn't be here in the FSL. There are several promising youngsters in the Minors just itching to supplant you.

If Commodor were to sim his team vs my sharks...and his team won...and he had magnificently better stats than I did...I wouldn't accuse my fellow FB of cheating. Because I have faith that my Staff will pick the right man for the job.

Yes, every game that Capt O simmed was close (either high or low scoring) but (as stated earlier) the 7-0 Bears lost (handily) to the 1-6 Dolphins. If those teams played for the next 8 consecutive weeks, how many times do you think the Dolphins would win...let alone blow out the Bears?

Secondly, we're talking about a Madden game. How realistic is this game. I can take Barcelona and destroy Pittsburgh at all levels (except All-madden mode) I can take Rein and destroy Indianapolis (again, except in All-Madden). I can take any team and beat any team. The closer the two teams are...the more likely I am to win at every level. This stuff would never happen except in a video GAME!!!

Thirdly, it is a GAME. It's not even a game that the great majority are actually playing. So why does this seem to matter so much to so many people?

So, basically you are saying the Thunder could win by this margin. You are just saying that this is unlikely so since it is against your team it is automatically cheating. Am I right?

Is this what this league has come to? Acusations of cheating? I'm with XFL on this. This is nuts. if we have simmers that are in fact cheating, kick 'em out and find some that are trustworthy. If not, accept what is posted and move on to the next week. I didn't sign up with this league to listen to a bunch of people female dog, piss and moan and accuse others of cheating. This kinda crap will kill this league and I'll be one of the first to go. At this point, I don't want to leave but I won't stick around if this is what I have to look forward to here. Can we please drop this nonsense and move on?

Just lock the thread and be done with it. *grin* If people cant accept the outcome, let them deal with it however they must.

New rules should be put in place for games this important and this late in the year for the future to cause something like this to not happen. But this happened and nobody has come up with something to really prove anything so I don't know how we can really resim it.

I also remember a list that Captobvious made earlier of the only people that should automatically have permission to be able to sim a game that he is in and he put TheMule in it. Now that you are involved in this and your team gets beat you say that he is cheating, it sounds very childish.

suggestion::::: no one sims their own teams games, period, ever, for any reason. It must be simmed by an impartial party who does not stand to gain anything from the outcome. Example...playoff games are simmed by someone who's team did not make the playoffs. Games with playoff ramifications are to be simmed by someone who's team is out of the playoff picture. Just an thought.

It might take a long time to get the playoffs done though since the only simmers not making the playoffs would either be the Dawgs or Thunder.

It's a good idea, in theory. But that would require one person from each team to have a Simmer. I don't know that we have that many simmers.

Besides, if we do go that route, there are people who are likely to claim cheating anyways. For instance, lets say the Thunder make the playoffs and I was simming a game of Thunder vs Surge for the championship. If the Thunder loses, is someone going to claim that I cheated in the Surge favor because of my "rivalry" with Tom Rayder?

I don't care enough about any of this to cheat...and my "rivalry" with Tom is nothing more than him and I joking with each other about our FICTIONAL football players. But, that's the kind of stuff I would be faced with (should I ever break down and buy Madden 06 and sim a game.)

as i said, It's just a thought. I do realize that we don't have enough simmers out there right now. But in a perfect world, It should work and as we know, this world is far from perfect. As for now, I don't see any "quick fix" other than to simply trust those who sim as being honest about it. I'm certainly willing to do that but apparently it's too much to ask for some others.
