This is just another way to run the steroid store. Nobody wanted to be called a cheater for accelerating their player with "roids" so the GM's got rid of that and just gave certain players huge bank and called it a bonus. Either way...players at scoring positions got unnaturally accelerated past everyone else.
However...at least DeBomb didn't have to whine and cry to get his and I respect that...he got it because his GM had a strategy. Too many players in this league have learned that causing problems on their teams pays BIG money...and that sucks way more than a GM paying a QB $10 mil.

Are you kidding? You guys are the only ones with whiny problems. Forgive me if I sound agressive, but you just attacked my entire strategy for this year. I had huge weaknesses last year at QB and WR, so I found guys I could trust and that I liked and gave them huge contracts, which are also long contracts, so that they could fix the weaknesses on my team. I only had one whiner on my team this year. You know what happened to him? He got benched. Your team is the one that gives bonuses to everybody that wants it.

Actually they were smart moves by Watchthis.. He coudlve loaded up and gave someone 10 Mil and the next day they cudve been inactive and he wudve been out 10 Mil-- Big Risk Big Reward

Perhaps you misunderstood my point. I totally agree. I said "at least his GM had a strategy." Our team was run into the ground by a co-GM that had NO BUSINESS being in charge of things, and it irks me that loyal players are getting hosed in the process. I like DeBomb and have no problems (or any business) with how you run your team. Its within the rules so more power to you.
My personal preference would have been that ALL players be accelerated naturally, to make the league more realistic. I think it kinda sucks that a player can achieve ROY merely because he got a $10 mil payday. I would rather see ROY be determined by a players skill in attribute distribution and keeping your player updated. Thats just a preference and NOT an attempt to undermine the way you run YOUR team. peace.

Flledge picked up a veteran set of receivers in the expansion draft, but without a good QB that investment doesn't pay off. Now that that's done, our biggest needs are on defense, so in future years we'll be looking to pay bigger bucks on that side of the ball. |
