While Gino is having an amazing rookie year quarterbacking the Dawgs, you have to ask this question: Is it really Gino, or is it the people around him?
While Gino has nearly 3000 yards, he has only a 2-1 TD-INT ration, while the two top quarterbacks have a 13-1 and 9-1 ratio. That means he's throwing far more bad passes then them. Plus, he has the #1 TE in the league he's throwing it to with 31 catches, 662 yards, and 6 TD's. He has two top 5 WR's he can throw it too. One of them was the second player, and currently only 3 have done it so far, to surpass 1,000 yards. So while he is great, is it really him?

you've got some interesting points, but it's unfair to compare gino's TD-INT ratio to Lipton and Manning's

It 's a rookie year, with rookie growing pains associated with it. For example, I've thrown 6 interceptions in my first 3 games... and 5 in the next 7. I've grown a lot as a player over the course of the season, and I've helped my team win some games. I think I've met expectations. I don't think anyone expected me to stand shoulder to shoulder with Manning and Lipton this season, and I haven't. In fact, every time someone has mentioned my name with theirs, I've been quick to point out how I don't belong in their company.
Next season is a different story. The rookie learning curve is over. I expect to be one of the best passers in the league next year.
I stated at the beginning of the season that the best barometer of my potential would be to match my play against Deron Lucas. Both of us were put into teams surrounded by veteran receivers, and both of us were awarded generous contracts (his a little better than mine). I think we can see how that measured up.

Amen to that, Leroy. 5 of 10 games against Thunder and Sharks. 2 more against the Surge. And 2 more coming against Thunder and Sharks. This schedule was brutal.
