This past weekend Ned Bashum was playing baseball with a few friends at his home towns Softball Tournament. He was at bat with a few guys on when he was injured. He had a 3-0 count when he figured to take the next one no matter what. He swung at one that was way in. As he swung the ball hit his right elbow. Since the elbow was unlikely to be hit it had no pad unlike the left elbow. The ball drilled the elbow as Bashum was in full swinging motion. The ball shattered his elbow apart. The doctor told him to take it easy and relax for a little while before even attempting any sports.
Bashum showed up in the Dawgs locker room wearing a elbow sleeve and got jersey and helmet on. He went outside and used the catch practice and speed drills too.
