Torry Holts New Team

Hawaiian Times - Torry Holt will play for the HAWAIIAN SURGE next season!!! he signed a 4 year contract with the last year as a team option, finally making his decision. Holt was offered by his former team cougars, surge, sharks, dawgs, wolves, panthers, and falcons. before the free agency began, thunder was the #1 candidate to be holt's next team, but the gm of the thunder, mule didnt offer him any contract. after the contract signing, torry appreciated other gms offer and he felt very special about it.

Torry first eliminated the expansion teams, cauz he didnt wanted to deal with the expansion teams again like last year. he really appreciate that kris and dangefield was interested in signing him.
kris reportedly offered torry 6.5 mil and dangerfield offered torry 4 mil. they both offered him the WR #1 spot.

Torry didnt like the falcons offer because of the money they offered and the WR position. which was 4 million and WR #2 spot.

Torry loved to go to dawgs, and dawgs reportedly offered him 8.1 million on the first year with the #1 WR spot and the co-gm spot, but torry wanted to be with a winning team. dawgs have potential and they are a playoffs team but not a championship team yet. also they are in a hard division which is east, so torry didnt wanted to face skillful CBs. torry said he appreciate capt a lot, and he is the future for the dawgs.

Torry almost decided to re-sign with the colorado cougars and stay as a co-gm. raylewis reportedly told him they will match any offer, so their max offer was 8.1 mil (since dawgs offered 8.1) with the #1 WR spot. but it was time to move on. torry didnt have a good relationship with their QB, jimmy conway. but torry told the reporters after the contract signing that he wishes conway luck and he hopes he becomes a star QB. torry thanked raylewis, wise for alwayz being there for him. and he wishes them luck.

So his final decision came down to the Sharks or the Surge. Both of the team QBs were superstars. he was gonna be the WR #2 for both team. It was reported that Torry was seconds away of signing with the Sharks. but Eielson didnt answer his pm. by that time, surge matched the Sharks offer and wilber convinced torry to be with the surge by getting paycut of his own salary for next year. he also offered him the co-gm job. torry then decided to sign with the surge. surge were in a weaker division and it was just a better opportunity for him.

Torry is now the highest payed WR in season 3, and 2nd highest payed FSL player in season 3 after jimmy conway. He will now work as a surge co-gm and the WR #2. surge passing game will be good and also their running game.

Dude, even Leroy Jenkins at his finest isn't that stupid. You offered me a contract and said if you agree to this I will accept it. So I go and accept it and later on when I'm not on my computer he sends me a PM asking for the same exact contract! And since I wasn't on to agree to it for a second time at 1:00 AM he goes to the Surge.

Co-GM isnt as sexy and awesome of a job as eveyrone makes it out to be.. Its the same thing as just being a player really.

Not necessarily. Being a co-GM gives you the opportunity to help shape the team. It also puts you on the competition committee, which gives you the opportunity to help shape the league. It's like anything... what you get out of it depends on what you put into it.

Holt already acted as co-GM for the Cougars, so he knows what he's getting.
