Can I ask why we're restricting player movement.
For example, HBs usually make decent CBs because of their speed and awareness, but now they can't play CB. I don't see why this is a good thing.
I can see restricting the total number of moves, and the rule about a player staying in a position all year, but the other restrictions seems unnecessary.
Also, does pre-season count? As in, can we make as many moves in the pre-season as we want, then start the restrictions in the regular season? Just asking.

These changes are good ideas as it will help the simmers as the positions available to change to are ones that Madden allows, therefore we won't have to create new players every time a person changes positions.

No, they're not. I know for fact I can switch an HB to a FS or SS in Madden without recreating him because I just did it for Mosca. But you have HBs only eligible to switch to offensive positions.
Furthermore, considering that every other new recruit creates an HB, and there are so few jobs in the league for them, I'm very concerned for what this rule would do for league growth. We'll have a dialogue on this and any other issues regarding this before it becomes official. I didn't like the idea when you PMed me about it, and I still don't.

It helps simmers, but no need to be this restrictive. If you're player can switch to a position in madden, why not here?

if your able to switch to that postion in madden why not have all of them available not a list of 3.

From the commish office: I said he could do something with changing positions, but he did not specify what he would make. I was thinking instead that each team could only have a player change positions a total of three times during the regular season, like the RFSL. Overruled. I'm deleting the post in the player template thread. |

Dabearfan has already clarified his intentions, so this is not up for debate.
He does make a ruling that a player can't change positions more than 3 times a season, and I think that's a imminently reasonable proposition. I might have gone with 2.
