Terrance Hernandez, former OLB for the Dawgs has switched positions. He is now a SS. Questions?

I have 2 questions.
1. What prompted this change?
2. How much more effective do you think you'll be as a SS?

1. What prompted this change? Well, the fact is that I wasn't a spectacular LB and we (the Dawgs) intend on getting one. Plus, or SS wasn't great either, so this just seemed like a good move.
2. How much more effective do you think you'll be as a SS? I think I'll be a lot more effective. I wasn't a horrible LB, but I think I'm definitely a better SS.

Why do you think you'll be more effective as a SS?
And do you think you're a significant upgrade over your last SS?

Actually, you were on your way to becoming a pretty solid linebacker. But you're an instant playmaker at SS.
What actually spurred this was when we were looking at possibly losing McKee, we started looking at alternatives, and Phenom volunteered to move. So I took a look at his player and thought... not FS material... but what an SS!
We desperately needed to get better at LB, and whether that was going to mean help from outside, or showering the guys we had here with money, it was something that needed to be done. Phenom moving to the secondary opened up the possibility of adding a free agent (whom we now have... yaaay King!) AND upgrading the secondary at the same time. While there were several alternatives out there at LB (King, Kaplan, Lewis, and now Mott's new player) there was really very little out there for DB.
