I haven't checked the stats, but his OVR wasn't much better than mine. Plus, I'll bring some positive attitude to the team.

I'll field that one for him, because I don't expect a brand-new player to be able to answer for me.
Obviously, we had a contractual commitment to Lee before Hernandez entered the league, so signing him wasn't an option. Lee's retirement voided his contract and freed up the money we used to sign Hernandez.
Hernandez is a few steps slower than Lee, but he's still among the fastest linebackers on our team, which is why we like him on the outside. I never said Hernandez was a better overall player than Lee, but I did say he was better in some ways. One of Hernandez' advantages is that he's much stronger, allowing him to take on blockers and contain the outside. That forces runners to turn to the middle, where our best defenders (McKee, Baker, Smeltzer) play. Lee was a couple steps faster and an outstanding tackler, but Terrance here is a pretty solid tackler himself. He's got a bright future ahead of himself with this organization.

Besides, Lee had the advantage of TC to help improves his speed and other attributes. Give Hernandez a year, and then make the comparisons.
