Welcome to the Football Sim League. This is a league in which you create a player, join a team, and develop to become a superstar. Create your rookie in the "Create A Player" section, and they will be chosen by a team. We will attempt to fill each team with all actual players from this site, but may end up using players from the NFL.
Once a new player has registered, they should go to the Rookies board, and create a player using the form in that same board. From there, they will either be drafted or signed, depending on the time that they created their player.
A new player may not officially sign with a team until 12 hours after their player was created.
If a player is drafted, and does not respond to the contract offered by the team that drafted the player for 72 hours, the offer is automatically accepted.
A player may be released for a one time penalty of 50% of the base salary of the current season. For example, if a team releases a player with a base salary of $ 2.0 M for the current season, the team is charged a total of $ 1.0 M for that player for the season.
A current member will be awarded 2 points for recruiting a new member.
However, if the new member has less than 5 posts and does not create a player, the recruiting points will not be awarded.
Expansion teams will receive $5 million extra cap room their first season. Teams that did not receive it their first season due to the rule not being in place will receive it their second season.
General Mangers must publically accept a trade for it to be official. When a trade is made, the contracts for the players involved are also switched to the opposing team, and the opposing team also pays that years salary, or if it is in the off-season, then they pay the next years salary, unless specified otherwise.
