That's the question of the day in the organization, actually. We've got one unsettled position, MLB2. We prefer a 4-linebacker set but aren't married to the idea. We could take that money and invest it in the players on our roster with some bonuses, as we did last season, to strengthen the team even further. We could draft another player and use it to make him a force from the start. Or we could bank it for next season against the possibility of another vigorous free agent market.
Whatever we decide, one thing's for sure... it's a very nice problem to have.

Speaking of which, most your players are fairly respectable except maybe one person... are you going to offer a possible incentive like you offered Leroy Jenkins(I believe) for a reward for goodness to Trav or just hope for the best?

Are you suggesting Trav is disreputable? What a strange idea...
Every team needs a difficult player. It makes life interesting. Before we had Trav, we had Ned. And although both of them have at times expressed displeasure with their situations, and both have required more attention than some of the other players, neither has held out or demanded a trade. As long as they're fulfilling their contractual obligations, and not causing too much strife in the locker room, I'm happy to have that sort of player on my team.
No more than one at a time I think, though.

So does that mean you're gonna pass on Alex Lewis?

Alex Lewis is on our radar, but there are a couple of other players in the draft we've interviewed who seem like a good fit. There are no guarantees Alex is still in the draft pool when our turn comes up.
Because this is an extremely thin draft pool, we think our #4 draft position is particularly valuable this season. We have only one opening left on our roster (MLB2) and don't necessarily have to fill that spot, so we have the option of trading that pick and skipping the draft altogether. This would mean we wouldn't be a participant in the Alex Lewis sweepstakes.
However, unless we receive equivalent value for that pick, we won't be trading it... first-round picks only come along so often, and we don't expect to pick as high as 4th again. So unless someone comes forward with a good offer, we'll take the best player on the board... whoever that happens to be.

So this season .. Is your team going to be offense or defense orientated or balanced ?

You have to have strength on both sides of the ball in order to be a contender in this league. We've always been a threat with the ball, and last season we took some strides on defense. The run defense wasn't as good as I'd like, but the pass defense was solid (and sometimes spectacular) throughout the season. I think that adding you, and the big upgrade at SS, gives us the strength to stuff the run against the big three. I feel this defense is going to make some noise this season.

I think we have enough money in the incentives allowance for some cheeseburgers...
