Hey AYL, guess what, you spent 1.5M too much as that is the same amount you owe Las Vegas for your S3 gambling debts

Dear Alex,
Your contract is for $ 7 M, and you owe $ 1 M in Las Vegas, so you have spent too much. Please fix this discrepancy.
Sincerely,
The Mule

Baker's situation was different from yours... his debt was preventing him from continuing his career. For people who can afford the debt but do not pay, the treatment will be different. The loser will pay double the debt out of next season's salary, and is banned from Vegas until that obligation is met.

SO, he made like 4 million this year, he owed 3 million don't tell me it's diferent, he could have payed it all in one go if he wanted to.

It is different. I know I would never give a player a 4M contract knowing that 3M of it is going to pay off gambling debts. I treat my budget as an investment in my players to improve their play on the field, and there's no payoff on that kind of investment. It's all wasted cash, and I'd get more for my money to draft a rookie and give the 4M to him.
And in case you didn't notice... that's exactly what I did.
