With our depth chart this season, yeah, he'd have been fifth string. We get to cut him without penalty for this season if we want to, since he never answered the activity check, so this gives us an opportunity to get something for nothing.
Meanwhile the Wolves get to add a fairly talented player to their team. This one is a winner for everyone.
