Welcome to Sportcenter once again, I'm your host of this telecast. Not much happened today in the Football Sim League, as the draft took place yesterday and the regular season does not start until Wednesday, June 7th.
The biggest news from today was the contract signings of Los Angeles's CB Skyler Scarlin, Chicago's Alex Watson and Big Sexxxy, and Ohio's Glenn Boyce. Other contracts are being negotiated, including Free Agents TE Daniel McPhee and WR/KR J.J. Jacobsen, but more on that tomorrow.
On the transaction wire, the Los Angeles Explosion acquired OLB Ty Summers from the Chicago Sharks for 3.5 million dollars today. The GM of the Explosion commented on how greatly the move would benefit his team, but the Chicago Sharks co-GM responded by saying it was a very costly move by the Explosion.
Training camp is underway, and will continue until Tuesday of the upcoming week. Following the end of training camp will be the highly anticipated start of the regular season, with the Ohio Thunder facing the Chicago Sharks in Chicago, followed by the Los Angeles Explosion battling the Hawaiian Surge in Honolulu, Hawaii. Both of these games can be seen on ESPN, but will be subject to change.
Trash talk has already begun as the GMs of both the Surge and Explosion said that they are very confident that their teams can make it to the promised land. The Sharks's GM responded by saying that they will be making it to the finals, but only time will be able to tell.
Thank you all for watching this telecast, that's all for now. Check back tomorrow for the next episode of SportsCenter. C ya!
