Hello and welcome to a very special edition of SPortcenter with me, Mickey Landrum. I have a great show for you today, as I will be going over the recent picks for Expansion teams. I will also go over the Top 3 in the Free agent pool. I will end with a sneak peak for the next show. SO just sit back, relax, and enjoy this very special edition of Sportcenter!
OK, first up I have the new expansion teams:
The Spingfield Wolves: GM Kris Johson, former Team: Thunder
In my opinion a pretty good choice as Kris is both active, and reliable. I think he will do a great job here.
The Louisiana Panthers: GM Oshiomogho, Former Team: Thunder
Another good choice by my opnion. Oshi shoulda be a reliable GM, though some question how active he is b the number of posts he has. I feel he will be very active, as last offseason he helped with alot of things.
-How will the the THunder be effected by the loss?
Their stingy defense will be rocked hard, as they lost their starting CB and SS. Johnson exspecially was a huge impact on the defense and was part of the close race for the best CB award. The Thunder will have to rebuild their defense if they ever hope to stay on the top. We here at Sportcenter wish the THunder, and the new GM's the best of luck.
OK, next up I have my picks for the top 3 Free Agents this year:
#3: Trav Man, MLB- Despite this guy's attitude problem, he would be a great addition to any team, mainly an expasion. He is a run stopper, with power to bring down even the hardest runners. He doesn't have ideal speed and won't catch a RB who takes it outside too much. Trav is a great all-around-MLB, and will make an impact where ever he goes.
Where he will most likely end up: Panthers, Wolves, or Falcons (If no other offers)
#2: Leroy Jenkins, CB- A great CB with lock down ability. Leroy is great at batting down passes and getting the occasional INT. He will be a great addition to any team, expcially an expansion as he would upgrade any defense immediatly. (I would do more, but I can't find his player!)
Where he will most likely end up: Surge, as he has already given a verbal, though nothing in paper yet.
#1: Torry Holt, WR- This guy is a beast. If he would have had a better QB at the Cougars, he may have made Brad Steeves a little worried! Holt is one of the fastest players in they league, and can reach his top speed almost instantly. Needs to work on his route running and field awarness. Has hands made of glue, and should see minimal drops next season. Expect him to do well only if he goes to a team with a good QB.
WHere he will most likely end up: Dawgs, he won't want to be with Steeves I don't think.
Well thats all I have for you today. I might do a draft edition if ppeople liked this one, so please leave comments, good or bad, I thrive off critism. Thank you and I hope you enjoyed it, until next time, this is Mickey Landrum....signing off.
