I don't understand why they get points for ammount of receptions, I think it should be for a certain ammount of rushing attempts instead

Well RB's aren't meant to make receptions, just to get the ball handed to them and run forward, and if they want to go to a heavy run offense just to make their RB better then the team is cutting away chances for their WR's, so it evens itself out
