Why is everyone voting for Wilt? Because of pancakes? Why don't we put a bunch of linemen on the list?
Silver Fox got us some tough yards in crucial game situations, so I'm voting for him.

WILT DROPPED THE BALL 8 TIMES! MORE THEN TWICE THE NUMBER HE caught! THIS IS BS!

Wilt dropped the ball because it was thrown to him. Nobody else threw to their FBs, or they'd match his drops. The primary role of a fullback is to block, whether protecting his passer or clearing lanes for his runner. And the stats don't lie here... Wilt is in a class of his own.
Silver Fox is a halfback masquerading as a fullback. He comes in on third down and gets to pad his stats a little. You can't tell me those third down conversions he got would have failed if you'd left Garcia in the game.

Wilt gets those throws because he is the #2 TE for his team. If you want to reward him for those catches (and those drops), nominate him in the TE thread. Silver Fox gets some 3rd down carries but he is really in on 3rd down because his catch is higher than Garcia's. The vast majority of those yards came on 1st and 2nd down straight up the middle.

A lot of FBs play as the #2 TE. We don't have him there to catch, we have him there to block.... just like a FB.
First and second down, you say? Prove it. That certainly hasn't been the case in the games I've simmed. And in our week 12 showdown you had two big third-down conversions. You're the HB on third down.

If I prove it, will you change your vote? What percentage of yards does Silver Fox need to have obtained on 1st and 2nd relative to third before you'll change your vote? I remember the two big third down conversions you are remembering because they ended up ensuring the Thunder victory. But I think they stand out disproportionately due to their importance. Silver Fox gets lots of unmemorable 3 yard carries.
This is all subjective recollection and its a pain to go through the game threads to figure out the proportion. But if you'll name a threshold at which you'll change your vote, I'll go back and do it.

The phrase you used was "vast majority," so 60% should be an easy target.

The phrase you used was "vast majority," so 60% should be an easy target. Ok, I just searched through the play-by-play threads for Fox and found: 1st down : 13 for 65 2nd down: 0 for 0 3rd down: 3 for 35 Total: 16 for 100, 65% on 1st and 2nd down. Please let me know once you have changed your vote captobvious! [there are some missing plays (14 for 35). I have noticed before that announcers sometimes miss Silver Fox's carries. For example, I'll read the whole game thread and not see a single carry for Silver Fox but in the stats, I'll discover that he has 1-2 carries. I think announcers sometimes assume he is Garcia and mistakenly attribute to him.]

FB's primary job is to block and secondary is to carry. In my opinion Fox doesnt have enough yards to accomodate Wilt's blocking.
