Is it possible for a player to play both CB and WR?
Im a cornerback through and through.. but it would be cool to every once in a while get a chance at WR..

Unfortunately... no.
1) It would take away active roster positions in the league. 2) The Madden game doesn't allow you to play DBs in WR slots.

What you could do is talk to your GM about allowing you to convert for a game or two. Since receivers and DBs have the same starting points, your player attributes wouldn't have to be modified. If you've already clinched a playoff spot, or if your GM can make it work otherwise, it's all good.

Just thought it would be cool to burn haters like Tye or Kris who think they are a better CB than me..

I know this is somewhat irrelevant, but I was playing Madden and I made a 3rd string CB for the Eagles called Allen Iverson, 3rd weakest player on the team next to a QB and the punter, and the Eagles plauged by injuries and not thinking logical put Allen Iverson as the LG :S other then that never noticed someone on the opposite side of the ball

The Sharks attempted that in season 1. We wanted to put Boomer Sooner at CB (I think), but it wouldn't work.
