Ok here is the situation and question..
Pretend there was a "perfect defensive player" as in 99 in all categories that affect defense (Speed, Strength, Awareness, Agility, Acceleration, Catching, Jumping, Tackle)
Therefore, he could easily play any of the defensive positions and be the "perfect player" at that position..
At which position would he ultimately make the most impact?
On offense I would say clearly the QB, but defense I think you can make a case for any of the spots.. What do you all think?

I don't play my best defender at free safety and call it the "quarterback of the defense" for nothing. That's the one position that gets to get involved in every facet of the game.

IT'S ME!!!
No, I voted for MLB as they are the center of the defense. Also, I don't think that QB is the biggest impact player on offense, as to have a successfull offense it takes many good players.

MLB, they usually impact the game more than the other defensive players.

MLB, they usually impact the game more than the other defensive players. Unless you are James Taylor.

I think it's the MLB, if they were perfect they could stop the run and cover receivers in the passing game. As for offense, I disagree with the perfect QB thing. In this league, I think it's the running back who would make the biggest difference. QB's would still need capable receivers, but the o-line is the same for every team
