When given the chance to shine last season, Gomes took full advantage. In 30 games after the all-star break, he averaged 34 minutes, 12.6 points, 7.6 boards, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 steals per game with good percentages. These were up from his pre-break numbers of 12 minutes, 2.7 points, 2.3 boards, and pedestrian averages. Once Gomes proved that the talent he displayed at Providence was legitimate, he took full advantage of his time on the floor.
But let's look at his average numbers over the course of the whole season -- 23 minutes per, 7.6 points per, 4.9 boards per, etc. He had average earnings of approximately $0.93 per game. At 80 games, that projects to earnings of $74.40.
As the 6th man, or potentially the starter over Jefferson if his development continues, however, a jump to 30 minutes per game seems likely. At the same rate, that would put Gomes in the $100 range. And this is without taking into account likely improvement in the rates at which Gomes puts up statistics. The vast improvement between the halves of last season suggests that Gomes is quietly a player on the up and up.
Current Price: $69.26

Yea.....then Dwight Howard was my other smart buy........NBA is the sport i know the most ppl from haha since i have done fantasy basketball with my friends for the past couple years
Right now for Howard to break even with his Market Price he would have to average 14 PPG, 11 RPG, 1 APG, 1 BPG, and 52% FG%.......last year he averaged 15 PPG, 12.5 RPG, 1.8 APG, 1.4 BPG, and shot roughly 53% from the field..................this year he is projected to shatter those numbers and then some......he will have alot more chances to shoot and will be a rebounding threat like never before
