Asking for votes because you're most qualified is different from asking for votes in exchange for a userbar.
We took Mike Jones out of the CB runoff vote for the same reason. The Thunder were ballot stuffing by voting for all their own teammates, when it was pretty obvious he wasn't the best qualified candidate.

I didn't think it was all homerism at the time, because 12 votes is a lot for just one team. Someone outside of the Sharks had to have voted for him.
