Can we make it so that whenever a game is being simmed and somebody has to go at halftime that the game will still be played at that time but there just won't be in play by play? It totally changes the way the game is being simmed when this happens.

Thats getting kinda nit picky though.... Games do change after halftime as teams make adjustments, etc... And im sure sometimes he has more important things to worry about then not pausing a game because it might change the momentum

Yes there is. Sharks were completely dominating the game against Ohio, then Ohio had one lucky play and they completely dominated from there on out.
