101.4 The Explosion's Dee Dee Dee Moment of the Week
Here's a new segment I randomly came up with. Since I have this radio thread, I might as well make it a reality, and bring a ray or two of sunshine into your lives. Well, I hope you can read, because if you can, you already know what that idea is. The Dee Dee Dee Moment of the Week, in simple terms, is a quote from one of your friends here in the Football Simulation League. Now, for those who do not know the genius of Carlos Mencia, this quote will be something of incredibly stupid and/or ironic proportions. And remember, if you are our lucky winner, we aren't laughing at you, we're laughing with you... if we're even laughing at all.
Enough messing around. It's time to annoint our first recipient of the "Dee Dee Dee Moment of the Week!" Our lucky winner is...
One thing is for sure... the Sharks are going to go all the way this year, as I've yet to see a team NOT finish a season. However, going all the way at the top of the league? There's nothing wrong with having confidence and pride in your team, but when you all but guarantee greatness, you better follow up on it. Chicago apparently never got that memo, falling behind early on a touchdown pass from Gino DeBomb to Terrell Beast and a fumble return for six by Manny Lawson, and eventually falling 31-17 to the Orlando Dawgs. However, Donny isn't one to blame, as he showed up ready to play, recording 5 tackles, one for a loss, with a deflection.
Wrapping it up, remember what you say can come back to bite you, as it did here to the Chicago Sharks. Now you know. And knowing is half the battle. This is Tye Williams signing off. Keep on talking, FSL, you might just make me rich someday.
