no excuse blowing a 20 point half time lead. It didn't help that Rackers missed a couple field goals.

only coach to be fired should be Art Shell or Mike McCarthy

This thread is silly. You dont fire a "new" head coach during his first year...or even after it. John Fox had the Panthers in the SB his second year in Carolina, Gibbs had the Redskins in the playoffs year 2, and Jimmy Johnson won 2 SBs after going 1-15 his first year.
In Oakland, if anyone deserves to be fired, it's Al Davis...not Art Shell.

I still want Dennis Green out of the Cardinals organization. I never brought up Art Shell. What sucks for Green is this. He came into a bad situation and was expected to be a miracle worker. Year 1, he basically has to play with the roster he inherits. He goes 6-10. Year 2 he starts getting the guys he wants on roster. He goes 5-11. This year he finally gets his QB, and because of 2 missed kicks, he's 1-5 instead of 3-3. So I'm not sure you can blame the Cards lack of success on Green alone. When a new coach takes over a BAD team, it'll take time. Look what happened to the Bengals when they finally got a good QB. You dont think that can happen with Boldin/Fitz at WR if Leinart turns out like Palmer? The Cards could be the new Bengals in a few years. Whats sucks is...odds are Green wont be around to enjoy it. |

I like Green as a coach but the Cardinals need a Defensive minded coach that can turn their deense around. I agree that the Cadinals have a great offense but they need a better O-Line and Defense.

Well their defense only gave up 3 points to the Bears last night. And they have a lot of good young players on that side of the ball. So I'm not sure thats the big problem. The problem I see is the OLine, like you said. If that can be fixed, I think we'll see a big improvement. But they dont need to draft a lineman, they need to go get some veterans that can step in and make a difference.

We're talking about the Bears' offense. They aren't that impressive, I don't think they have a Pro Bowler at any specialty position.

They scored 37 and 40 points the last 2 weeks. That offense was playing well heading into the Monday night game.

They scored 37 and 40 points the last 2 weeks. That offense was playing well heading into the Monday night game. i don't remember who the 37 was against, but the 40 points were against the Bills  |
