Im gonna retire...because i don't like my position and i wasn't active anyways...im gonna create a new player in a position i like and probably be more active

ummm. did you sign a contract? I believe you have to play out this year and even if you don't I believe you will have to sit out this year so you might as well play it out.

which means if i understand the rules we must give him permission to make a new player. which we don't

Yep if he signed then he has to have permission to retire his player and create a new one.

We need a commish ruling on this. The Cougars used a draft pick, signed him to a contract, and he spent the money. We're not exactly into the season yet, so this falls into a gray area in the rule. Either way, the Cougars can only retain him through season 4 before Jones is free.

I believe he would have to play out this season then he can create a new player. Maybe they will have to trade him and the other team can switch him to a different position.

I want to play something on offense...either tight end or wide reciever....perferably wr. I am gonna start being active in this league because i didn't realize it barley takes up any time...if we sim on madden 06...i will also become a simmer or something to help out around here.
and when does this season start?

Unless the GM decides to release KC, he must play this season. He will be retired at the beginning of next offseason if he still wishes to have has player be retired.
